Some financial institutions don't play nice with third-party services like PocketGuard and require their customers to complete multi-factor authentication more often.
In order for PocketGuard to pull the most recent data for your accounts at such institutions, from time to time, you may need to manually complete the multi-factor authentication as there is no option to bypass it on our end. This is simply a fallout of stricter authentication norms that provides better security at the expense of user experience.
Please, follow these steps to complete authentication:
- Go to Accounts;
- Hit the cogwheel icon in the upper right corner;
- You'll see a "reconnect" prompt;
- Snap-on the "Let’s go" button;
- Answer the multi-factor authentication (MFA) challenge correctly.
The most common examples of such institutions are:
- Navy Federal Credit Union
- Citibank
- MidFirst Bank
- Fidelity Investments
- Associated Bank
- FirstBank of Colorado
- Royal Bank of Canada
- Servus Credit Union
- First Premier Bankcard
- Social Finance(SoFi)
- People's United Bank
- Huntington Bank
- PNC Bank
